Pals Zoey and Mesa may look laid back, but that doesn’t mean they don’t like to have the red carpet rolled out for them every once in a while.
On a BC road trip with pet parents Jolene Matthews and her sister, the two dogs were invited to dine inside at Barkerville Brewery in Quesnel before driving south to Whistler. Once there, the Four Seasons hotel welcomed them with dog beds and goodie bags. The highlight, however, was a leash-free swim in Lost Lake’s Canine Cove, only a six minute drive from the town’s centre.

Take it from Jolene, a pre-trip Google search for dog-friendly businesses and destinations can really enhance a road trip with your pet. “We got really excited for our trip just by looking up things and activities to do,” she says.
