Introduce gradually over a two week period, starting with half the recommended dose for the 1st week then proceeding with a full dose the 2nd week (1/2 tsp (2g) per 9kg (20lb) body weight once a day). After 30-60 days it may be possible to reduce intake to half the full dose as stated above.
