AutoShip Program Terms & Conditions

The AutoShip program is governed by these Terms & Conditions, the Terms and Conditions of Purchase, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, which are incorporated into these AutoShip Terms & Conditions, and constitute your entire agreement with Pet Valu Canada Inc. (“Pet Valu”) relating to the AutoShip program. In the case of any discrepancy, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.

By enrolling in or continuing to use the AutoShip program, you accept these Terms & Conditions and expressly agree to be bound by and abide by these Terms & Conditions, the Terms and Conditions of Purchase, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If any of these terms are not acceptable to you, you may stop using the AutoShip program at any time.

Enrolling in the AutoShip Program

The AutoShip Program is open to residents of Canada who are purchasing pet products for their individual, household and non-commercial purposes.

To enroll online, select the AutoShip checkbox next to one or more AutoShip eligible items in the shopping cart. AutoShip is only available for select items. You must then choose an order frequency for each item from the available options in the drop-down menu. To proceed to checkout, you will need an online account. You can sign in or create an account at any time on petvalu.ca.

AutoShip orders can be placed for store pick-up (in participating stores) or for shipment directly to your home. You will be prompted to make this selection in the shopping cart. Store pick-up is only available in certain regions of Canada, and only at participating Pet Valu®, Paulmac's®, Bosley's by Pet Valu®, Total Pet®, and Tisol® locations. Pet Valu does not currently operate any participating stores in the province of Quebec, or the territories of Yukon, Northwest Territories or Nunavut.

If you select “pick up in-store", once you complete your checkout, an order will be created immediately for all items to be picked up at the selected store. If you select “ship to me”, once you complete your checkout, an order will be created immediately for all items to be shipped to the address entered in checkout.

Future orders will be automatically created for shipment or store pick-up at the same address or store location and at the frequency selected, for the items you have chosen for AutoShip. The chosen frequency will be used to determine the dates in which your future orders will be placed and are not meant to represent the dates in which they will be available for pick-up or delivered. Delivery dates of your orders are subject to our shipping policy.

Orders will continue to be placed automatically at the selected quantity and frequency, and your payment method charged, until you modify or cancel your AutoShip enrolment in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

*Offer ends December 31, 2024. For each new AutoShip eligible item added to an AutoShip subscription on petvalu.ca, bosleys.ca, paulmacs.ca, tisol.ca and totalpet.ca, Pet Valu Canada Inc. will donate Performatrin® branded dog food and treats with a retail value of $20 to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides feeding program, up to a maximum donation amount of $150,000 in any single calendar year.

Notifications

After placing a new AutoShip order, you will receive an order confirmation email with the details of your new order and the details of your AutoShip enrollment for all items that you have selected for AutoShip. This email will include a link to access the AutoShip section in your account online where you can change your next order date, skip an order, change your selected frequency, change your payment method, or cancel your enrollment in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

You will receive an email reminder 5 days before your next order. You will also receive a shipping confirmation email once an order is shipped, or a ready for pick-up email once an order is ready to be picked up in-store.

You will also receive email notifications regarding other information related to your AutoShip enrollment, such as, if an item is discontinued or out of stock, if your credit card information is expired, or if you cancel your enrollment.

Item Availability

Only select items are eligible for the AutoShip program. Eligible products have an AutoShip logo visible on the product page and in the shopping cart when shopping online.

Fulfillment of AutoShip orders are dependent on item availability. If one or more items in an upcoming AutoShip order is out of stock we will send you an email letting you know. Any remaining items in your order that are in stock will be fulfilled. An order with out of stock items will remain open as we continue to fulfil the order for up to 30 days. If the item does not become available within 30 days, or before your next AutoShip order for that item, we will cancel the order.

Rewards, Promo Codes and Coupons

For members of the Your Rewards/VIP Plus Program, all purchases of participating brands, including through AutoShip orders, qualify towards your free food rewards. Rewards are redeemable in-store only, cannot be redeemed as part of an AutoShip order, and cannot be combined with other offers. To redeem your rewards, you may skip your next AutoShip order and visit a participating store to pick up your items. Learn more about the Your Rewards/VIP Plus Program.

Online promo codes can only be used for one-time orders or on your first AutoShip order, at the time of placing the order. Promo codes and promotions (i.e. buy one, get one or get 25% off a case) cannot be used towards upcoming scheduled Autoship orders. You can skip an order in accordance with these Terms and Conditions in order to take advantage of an online or in-store promotion. If you have an AutoShip order for store pick up and an in-store coupon, please present it to an Animal Care Expert when you arrive to collect your order.

Making Changes to an AutoShip Order or Your AutoShip Enrollment

Your AutoShip enrolment and upcoming orders can be managed in your account settings. You can change your next order date, skip an order, change your selected frequency, change your payment method, or cancel your enrolment in accordance with these Terms and Conditions by visiting the AutoShip section in your account.

In order to be effective, changes to an upcoming order (such as skipping or changing the date of your order) must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled order date. For all other modifications, please allow up to 24 hours for them to be processed.

Once you’ve started your AutoShip enrolment, you will not be able to change your fulfilment type, shipping address or store pickup location. If you would like to make any of these changes, you can cancel your enrolment and create a new AutoShip order with your desired fulfilment details.

To change the pickup person for an upcoming store pick-up AutoShip order, the account holder must call the store to provide the details of the person picking up the order. To permanently change the pickup person, you must cancel your AutoShip enrolment for those item(s) and create a new AutoShip order with the name of the new pickup person entered in checkout.

If you are not satisfied with your AutoShip purchase, you may request a refund in accordance with our shipping and returns policy.

Pricing and Charges to your Payment Method

All AutoShip orders require a credit or debit card payment. Alternative payment forms, such as PayPal, Apple Pay and gift cards, are not accepted at this time. We reserve the right to change the payment methods we are able to accept at any time.

By signing up for an AutoShip order, you authorize us to charge you for your initial order and for the recurring periodic charges for an indefinite period of time thereafter until your AutoShip enrollment is terminated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The periodic charges for your AutoShip orders will be based upon the applicable prices quoted on the PetValu.ca website from time to time, except in cases of obvious error.

Prices of items in the AutoShip program are subject to change. Pet Valu cannot guarantee certain prices for AutoShip orders. The amount you will be charged for items in your AutoShip order will be the price as stated in your reminder email 5 days prior to the scheduled order date or lower, if the price of the item is lower on the website on the order placement date. On your AutoShip order’s placement date, your payment method will be authorized. For shipped orders, the payment method you have provided will be charged at the time the order is shipped. For store pick-up orders, the payment method you have provided will be charged at the time the order is picked up. The total amount you will be charged for your AutoShip orders will be the price of the items, less any applicable discounts or promotions, plus any applicable shipping charges and sales tax.

AutoShip orders are subject to our shipping and returns policy. Express shipping options such as FedEx 2Day® are not available for AutoShip orders.

Changes to these Terms & Conditions

Pet Valu may, at any time, in its sole discretion, change all or any of these Terms & Conditions without any prior notice except to the extent required by applicable law.

Your participation in the AutoShip program is personal to you, and you may not assign or transfer your enrollment or any of the benefits to any third party without our prior authorization. Pet Valu reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to the AutoShip program at any time without notice and for any reason whatsoever, including if you violate these Terms and Conditions.
