Essentials Aquarium Salt is derived from natural seawater. Used to reduce stress of freshwater fish by replenishing natural electrolytes. Formulated to temporarily block the toxic effect of nitrate to tank inhabitants when water quality is not ideal and nitrate is present. Unlike table salt, contains no artificial colour or iodine.
Directions: to treat your main Betta display, mix 1 tbsp for every 5 gallons (19 L) of water. To use as a bath, mix 1 tbsp Essentials Betta Salt per 1 gallon (3.78 L) of water that is the same temperature as the main display water. Dip the fish in the bath for 5-8 minutes. When dip is complete, acclimate the fish by diluting the bath with fresh water multiple times for a 2-3 minute span until the bath has doubled in volume before putting back in main display with normal water conditions.
